I’ve decided to take my running a bit more seriously this year.  I’ve always told people I run just for fun, which is still definitely true.  But I do hope to set some personal goals this year which I realize is going to take a little more dedication and comitment than I’ve been willing to give to the sport in the past.

The purpose of this blog is going to be my way of keeping accountable to myself the things I hope to accomplish.  I’ve heard it said that if you write down your resolutions you are far more likely to keep them.  We’ll see if that’s true.

Goals:
Spending more time becoming a ‘stronger’ runner, not just faster. (Spend 8 -10 weeks base building before training for my race in Sept.)
Half Marathon in 1:30:00
Marathon sometime by 2010
Bike Trip to San Diego by 2010 (ok, so I realize this isn’t a running goal, just something I want to do.)
